Young Physicians
IAMA has created a new Young physicians Section for the first time keeping in mind that the young physicians are pillars of the future of IAMA. There is large group of young physicians of Indian origin in Illinois who are currently not members of IAMA. We would like to bring those young physicians to IAMA for camaraderie, medical advocacy and social interaction.
As young physicians, we all have similar backgrounds and share one common interest-providing the best quality of healthcare. IAMA is a great organization with great opportunity to meet other like minded people. We can learn from one another and gain strength by sharing our experiences. There is also a great networking opportunity to promote our practices and establish a strong referral base. We take great pride in IAMA- Charitable Foundation free clinic in Chicago There is an excellent opportunity to volunteer in the clinic and give back to our community. In addition, there are monthly Educational and CME meetings and other community events organized by IAMA. Members have the opportunity to attend educational seminars on practice development, implementing electronic medical records and can seek advice on financial planning for the future. The semi-annual the annual meetings of IAMA are attended by a large number of physicians. We also plan to have family friendly get together that will give us a chance to get to know each other at a personal level.
IAMA supports advocacy platforms like increasing medical school class sizes and residency slots to combat anticipated physician shortage, IMG Visa waivers, keeping medical school affordable, protecting physician reimbursement and nationwide liability reform.
We need to come together now. So, join IAMA today! Our strength is in numbers!”
